Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular

On November 28, 2008 I went to the Radio City Rockettes for the Christmas Spectacular show at the Rosemonet Theatre with family. It was the 75th anniversary show. The show had many different acts for people of all ages. There were two acts in particular I thought were the best. THE PARADE OF WOODEN SOLDIERS act had eighteen girls dressed as toy soldiers. They did various formation drills with precision. The second act I liked was THE LIVING NATIVITY. The stage and lighting was setup to look surreal. They had live camels, donkeys and sheep around the manger too. Our seats were in the lower section center aisle. I am not a person for going to plays. However I highly recommend taking your family/friends to see this show. It really sets the tempo for the Christmas season.

I was not able to take pictures of show but here are a few pictures of the lobby area.

Here is a picture of me at the base of the stairs in the lobby.

I was unable to see the Radio City Rockettes this year. Hopefully I will be able to do so next year. I have seen the Nutcracker Ballet many times over the years when it was at the Erie Crown Theatre.
At that time it was presented by the Tribune Charities where proceeds
went to disadvantaged children and adults. It was always a fantastic
production with great performers, costumes, stage lighting & sets, …and of course the live symphony orchestra playing throughout.
I can’t think of a more magical time of year! Another great ballet to
see during the Christmas Holiday season is, Hansel & Gretel. For now,
I bid you adieu.., along with champagne wishes & caviar dreams!
