Who is this guy?

Tom is a technology geek from Orland Park Illinois. I have been a business technology consultant since 1995, Computer Scientist from DePaul University, a friend to all, dog lover, St. Jude supporter, avid DePaul University men’s basketball fan and now Tech Blogger. My goal with TommyBlog.com is three fold: have fun, learn and hopefully help people do the same.

TommyBlog.com Purpose

This site is dedicated to helping people understand Computer Technologies, Blogging, Social Media and my own Miscellaneous Ramblings. I see a lot of Blogs that talk about how to blog, how to generate traffic, how to expand RSS readership and my personal favorite Promoting Your Personal Brand. What I have noticed is that not many of the sites discuss the technical aspects of implementing the various topics.  Alternatively you can go to Borders or Amazon.com and purchase various Blogging books that have a lot of bloated topics without actually explaining how to implement them. Another option is to hire someone to setup everything for you or spend hours through trial and error. It is my intention to help TommyBlog.com readers understand how to implement various Blogging technologies so they can focus on creating great content for the Internet community.
